I was wondering if Linux had anything to do in the development of Cloud Computing, and if it was in any way related?|||Linux is simply another operating system, just like Windows or OS X. The fact that there are no licensing fees associated with using Linux has made it popular among Amazon EC2, Google App Engine, and other cloud computing services. It also has the advantage of being highly customizable.
However, cloud computing isn't exclusively built on Linux. Microsoft is working on a Windows-based cloud computing system called Azure. Also, there is no reason why a company couldn't create a cloud computing solution built on top of OS X.|||Have you already read here?
